The mother of the bride dresses are really different from bridesmaid dresses and so are the bridal
gowns themselves. It has long been settled that people truly value their mother
more than they value anyone in their lives including themselves as well, and no
one, especially the women who are set to be mothers as well, will want to dress
their mother inappropriately in the most special occasion in their lives.
One of the most vital
factors to be considered in picking the mother of the bride dress will be her
age. Compared to the bridesmaid dresses which are truly meant to dress juvenile
and carefree people, mothers have seen both the good side and the bad side of
life to be carefree enough for a young dress. However, it does not mean that
you should go around dressing her like she has the entire world upon her
shoulders. The main goal is to make her look younger than how she really is,
albeit older enough still to be taken seriously and respectfully.
In most weddings, only
the bridal gown and the bridesmaid dresses are the only ones which match the
over-all motif of the wedding ceremony. This should never be the case since of
all the people, the bridal mother should not be taken out of the picture. Even
if the over-all theme looks too young for her actual dress, you can at least
try to use such color as an embellishment or design on her over-all look just
in case she still wants to settle to the conventional frigid white dress.
It would be really nice
if the bride’s mother will have a matching dress with the groom’s mother as
well. It sounds a bit of a cliché but it only symbolizes that there are no
rifts between the family of the couple unlike how movies take it most of the
time. However, identity should still matter. Perhaps the two dresses can be
highly identical only that one of them is inches shorter than the other or that
they both have different sleet cuts.
It is not really that
hard to dress your mother for your venerable wedding day. After all, chances
are that you have taken your own style from your mother’s. Always remember that
she had dressed you well all your life and you should do the same to her as
well.
